Thanks so much to all of you who expressed support for our Seahawks! Things have settled down just a bit for a short time. I have put my mind back on "normal" things. First, I'll explain yesterday's problem. The nasty posts were not on my comments. Somehow this blog was in my list of blogs that posted recently on my dashboard. We looked at my list of blogs that I follow and it was not there. I have no idea how it got on that list. For the time being I am just skipping all the posts. Hopefully ignoring them will make them go away. We did try to report it to Google but that didn't work. Now on to much better things. I am almost finished with "Hearts and Flowers" by Carriage House Samplings. It is an older chart so I have decided to give it away when I am finished ( 2 or 3 days). If you would like this chart, just let me know in the comments on this post. I'm also showing you a few pretty pictures from my yard walk today.
The linen is Lakeside Linen Sand Dune, much prettier than the drab looking linen in this photo.
Here is my crazy daffodil that thinks it is Spring!
It's relatives have the good sense to stay in the ground!
I love Witch Hazel trees this time of year! They are covered with pretty blooms. We need to go over to the UW Arboretum. They have many different varieties and colors.
These flowers have a nice smell.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and thanks so much for joining me!
HI Barb i cannot believe i am the first to post and ask to be entered into your give away - i still hope i win though!

What a sweet chart. I'd love to have a chance for the give away.
ReplyDeleteThe witch hazel is really pretty. I never imagined it looked like that; I guess I always thought it would be medicinal or something.
That's a very pretty chart, so please enter my name in your draw. I am emailing you a possible solution, now that I understand your problem better.
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching! I would love a chance to stitch this chart...thanks!
ReplyDeletePretty stitch and pretty witch hazel. Mine is blooming too.
ReplyDeleteHave always liked that chart, I would love a chance at winning it. I will have to find a witch hazel plant, it is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWow, that witch hazel is like nothing I have ever seen. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteSorry that your blog is obviously the target of someone with nothing better to do with their time. Maybe they should take up cross stitch.
I would love to be entered in the drawing for the chart please. I do love CHS, and that is one of their charts I don't have. Thanks.
Lovely stitching Barb and that is a very intrepid daffodil you have :-)
ReplyDeleteVery lovely stitching!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered in the drawing for the chart please.
I have had a few dodgy sites on my dashboard (sorry catching up ..lol) and i ignored them and they seem to have gone away as long as you don't click on them ...
ReplyDeletegorgeous finish and would love to be entered and if won I would pass it on again too :)
I have signs of spring too but no flowers as yet :) hope you have a wonderful stitchy week :) love mouse xxxxx
Beautiful stitchery and well, the daffodil is really early!
ReplyDeleteSorry but I cant help you with the dashboard problem. I have had it where someone has hijacked someone else's blog and posted about politics but never dirty stuff.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered in the draw for the CHS chart please, it is very pretty.
Hearts & Flowers turned out pretty, and just in time for Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThe Witch Hazel is interesting.
Not entering the drawing, just commenting. :)
Marilyn
Great stitching , and lovely flower pics.
ReplyDeleteI once had some weird posts appear and it was from an old unused blog that someone had taken over. It took a long time of searching through all the blogs I follow , but I eventually found it and stopped following . Scroll down all the blogs in your dashboard and click on each one, you may find it. If you do , click on the cog thing at the top of your dashboard (manage blogs) and you can stop following a blog from their without having to go onto the actual blog. Hope this makes sense .
What a pretty design you are stitching.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the blog issues resolve themselves soon.
Crazy weather, the daffodils are way too early :)
A nice pattern for valentines into spring. Sweet. Oh the witch hazel is cool. I have never seen that before. I wonder if it would do well in Maine. We won't see the first daffy-dills until May. :(
ReplyDeleteI just saw the complete pattern....LOVE the verse! It made me laugh. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteWow ! We still have lots of snow on the ground ! Love all your pretty garden pics.. Pretty stitching ! Love the heart !
ReplyDeleteThat is so weird about the bad blog on your bloglist ..I've had many racy comments but not that problem .Hope it goes away . It just amazes me that people have that much time on their hands to make things difficult for us !
I would love a chance at 'hearts and flowers'. I have never seen this design before and love it. Your flowers are definately crazy - it is 1 degree in temp where I am at right now. I can't wait until spring though!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about that posting problem. There are some really weird people out there and I never manage to understand their motivation.
ReplyDeleteIt's nearly finished your heart. And it looks great. Please, don't include me in your draw, I still have this chart in my stash.
It's similar in our garden as we have had spring-like temperatures for the last 5 weeks or so and rarely any frosty nights. So our hydrangea and one of the rose bushes are budding and we are sure that they will freeze when winter temperatures will be here.
Your stitching is lovely Barb. :-) Yeah Seahawks!!!! :-) ♡ ♥ ♡ Your garden pictures are so lovely to look at. We are buried under a foot+ of snow. :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you are having a nasty blog in your feed. ick!!!
I would love to be entered your drawing for the Hearts and Flowers pattern. The verse on the pattern is great :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your garden photos. Now you need to find a small Seahawks garden flag or Seahawks gnome to sit among the flowers!
Carolyn
Very pretty pattern! Pretty blooms too!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered for this lovely chart. Love the verse.
ReplyDeleteI've read and enjoyed your blog for a long time but just became a follower. So many of your pictures remind me of our trip to Seattle a few years ago. Would love to try for this pattern- thanks for the chance!. I am working on her Suzannah pattern at this time. P.S. Rooting for Seahawks on the east coast because I love their uniforms!
ReplyDeleteHi - please include me in your giveaway. The chart is pretty and a perfect project to be stitching this time of year! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI am a bit jealous of your flower photos. We have snow on the ground here and it's 5 degrees. I am so ready for Spring! I would love to be in the giveway. That design is adorable and would be perfect to stitch in Feb.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved that chart, and I would be thrilled to be entered in your drawing for it. How wonderful to see signs of Spring! I can't wait, however, today it seems far away, as we are in the 'polar vortex'....
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your finish!
ReplyDeleteThx! Also check out this revolutionary gardenig system www.99aquaponics.com
ReplyDeleteOoh, please count me in, such a pretty design. Love your yard walk, too.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteI never knew there was such a thing as a Witch Hazel tree. It's very unique! I wish I could say we have spring flowers popping up, but our ground is frozen solid and covered with lots of snow. No spring in sight here. Your version of Hearts and Flowers is lovely! Please include me in your drawing. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe you have blooms on things! We just got another 2 inches of snow last night - I am walking past snow bank that are taller than me (I am 5 foot 10 inches). I fear we will never seen grass again. Love your stitching and way to go Seahawks!
ReplyDeleteBarb, I have never seen a witch hazel tree! How awesome is that! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Carriage House design and would be thrilled to win it. What is is with trolls/xrated garbage? I click "follow/ join this blog" a hundred times and can't get it to work, but they can go wherever they want? grrr.
ReplyDeleteLovely stitches and love, love, love the witch hazel!
