Well, I decided that it was about time I return to the world!! This has not been the most fun two weeks of my life, but things are progressing along pretty well. I missed all of you out in blogland and thank you for all the well wishes. I was in the hospital for 4 days and then the biggest problem was medicine making me feel very sick. Rather ironic that the meds you need to help you get well, make you sick!!! Oh well, I think that phase is pretty well over. I have been back to stitching and have done lots of reading. A book I just loved was called "Whistling Past the Graveyard." If you like stories about a spunky little girl, this would be a book you would enjoy. I am working on Liberty lane. I love the color change and I am thinking of putting an alphabet in place of the word Liberty Lane. I will have to see when I get that far. I'm not sure how it would fit but I like the idea of it looking more like a sampler.
I get to wear this lovely leg gear 24/7 for a month or so!
Here we have a wrinkled Liberty Lane! I am using more primary colors, more like American flag colors.
We have had an unusual warm spell. I have really enjoyed being able to sit out on the deck.
The Golden Rain Crab Apple is in full bloom!
Thanks again for all the well wishes and support. I'm so happy to be back in the world!!!!!
Do I see a new knee? I'm almost two years and it's good!

ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better very very soon - getting the meds just right can be quite difficult. Love the stitching and of course I think an alphabet is always the way to go.

ReplyDeleteYAY! So glad to see you back! Healing takes time but I am sorry to hear the meds were making you unwell. Glad to hear you have been stitching, reading and enjoying the warm weather. We have yet to have any weather warm or otherwise. Why just a while ago great big huge flakes of snow were falling from the sky. This is beginning to get so not funny!!! Take care Barb!
ReplyDeleteSo this is what happens when I'm on a blog break - you get new knees! Well, I hope you are healing well, but am sorry to read that the medicine is making you feel ill. Here's to a rapid return to good health and the the pleasures of walking on two good knees!

My goodness! I hope you and your leg are feeling better. Just take it easy and all will mend with time + lots of cross stitch (the ultimate medication).
