Mt. Baker, one of our volcanoes! About 50 miles away.
The beautiful Cascades
We will be back to our volunteer jobs at the lighthouse in Aug. The nasty old knee is getting better.
I love this picture of Seattle in the shadow of Mt. Rainier. I think it should have a title, " Don't sweat the small stuff and most things are small!!"
The kids know how to cool off!
And so do the dogs!
I have a really hard time picking my own flowers so when I saw the sign, "U -Pick dahlias" I was hooked. My DH navigated some back roads to find the little farm. 12 flowers for $4 what a deal!!!!!
Thanks so much for joining me today. Remember, I am trying very hard to send Summer to those of you who are missing it! Have a great week!

What a beautiful part of the world. Thank you for sharing. I agree with your Mt Rainier comment...would make a great caption. Awe inspiring nature puts things into perspective. The lighthouse is so pretty. And those dahlias! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSorry it's still so hot there.
ReplyDeleteWe've been lucky in WI this year, not too much hot weather.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Barb.
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a beautiful part of the world! your photos are a true feast for the eyes!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mountains whose size do put things into perspective! You picked a lovely bouquet.
ReplyDeleteOh Barb, such beautiful pictures of the mountains in your region. Great scenery.
ReplyDeleteI think I would also be a bit hesitating to cut the flowers from my garden. But around here there are also lots of flower farms where you can cut the flowers yourself. And it's not so hard because there are fields full of flowers.
... and so good to read that your knee is improving more and more.
ReplyDeleteWow! What great pictures of the surrounding mountains! Puts everything in perspective... Wish I knew a place to pick dahlias... love them! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty, Barb! We had really hoped to make it out to Seattle this fall, but our plans changed... Sure hope we can visit some day :)
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of Seattle area on a clear day is simply stunning. I'm glad you got out to enjoy it!
