A Finish and Flowers!

I hope everyone had a great week-end and are enjoying the Olympics! All that TV gives me a good excuse(as if I needed one)  to stitch  the evening away." Salem Village" is all finished.  This picture doesn't show the subtle differences in the dark colors but they are there. I'm not sure what I'm going to do -frame or finish another way.  It ended up being a little less than 7x7.  That little creature was suppose to be black but it looked like a devil to me so I stitched him red.



 I think this is the best year for daisies.  This bunch is about 5 feet high. We have 2 more bunches in other places in the yard all from the same plant that we divided two years ago.

This hydrangea is called "Little Lime".  It was newly planted last year.  It is a miniature version of Limelight.

 I do love those little pink buds.

 Our Pia is doing so well this year. I think they like all our cool weather.

Notice the little blue centers.

    I love your salem village, the little tiny devil in the middle,hahaha. And I am so jealous of you daisies. I want daisies in my yard to much, but can't grow them. I know that sounds crazy.... but I've tried 3 years in a row now and they have all died.

    Salem Village looks great - I like all your color changes. Lovely Hydrangeas - we have just one and the deer are really hard on it.

    I love your finish Barb! Are you going to stitch more Halloween/fall stuff next?

    i love hydrangeas, mine grew bigger than they have ever been and i had to cut them all back already. i especially like your salem piece!

    I just LOVE your Salem Village finish! I was in Salem, MA a few years ago and fell in love. A piece of my heart is still there! Love the daisies (my fave) and hydrangeas! Gorgeous pictures!
