I'm getting close to finishing my "Bunny& Co. " project. I have changed the colors a lot because I wanted to use what I have. It has ended up a bit too pastel but I love the design.
We have started a big project to improve my craft room. We have lived in our house for 8 years and that room is exactly the same as it was when we moved in. I have been inspired by the craft rooms that many of you have shown on your blogs. The dear SBA has been looking for projects to do since he finished the kitchen so this is a perfect one for him. I don't usually stitch in that room because I stitch in the evening in the family room while the SBA watches TV. I do sew in that room however and I need a place to put all my "stuff". I will show our progress on the blog.
Sorry for the wrinkles. As you can see, I just have the right side and top border to finish.
I used a fuzzy thread on the bunny's tail. It and the egg show up much better on the real project than in the picture.
Craft room, more accurately the junk room!!
Old builder white paint. Cheap builder trim.
Step one, empty out the room, add nice trim and paint a warm color.
Much better but not great! Our next step in to get some furniture. I want shelves with room for fabric and baskets.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you are all having a great week!
Your craft room looks so much better already! Looking forward to your updates.
ReplyDeletesideways rain! haha...forest gump!
ReplyDeleteI have alot of catching up to do, but I must say, love the color on the walls! I wish for sideways rain...send some our way!
ReplyDeleteCraft room looks great with just the small changes you've made. Bunny and Co is coming along really well too. I've been to the NW Garden Show 2 or three times and had a blast each time - though it is CROWDED - and last time there were issues with getting to see the featured speakers (I was not happy about that!) - but the displays and the vendors where top rate. A great place to find new plants and ideas. We are to get the storm on Friday too - maybe some snow in the forecast as well.
ReplyDeleteBunny and Company looks great! I love that design. I like the idea of the fluffy tail. Your craft room is looking great with just the paint. Love that color.
ReplyDeleteohh fun!! I love my craft room! I;m excited to see your fixed up!!

ReplyDeleteHow nice to have a craft room, Barb!! I suppose I should turn one of my boys old rooms into mine, but the light isn't the best upstairs in my house... Looking forward to seeing everything you do in there. And I love your progress on the Easter piece :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pastel colors in the bunny project. It makes it look 'old' if you know what I mean. I love it. Cool beans having a new craft room. Can't wait to see both finished projects.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on your stitching project and I really like the paint color you chose for your craft room. It's amazing how paint can warm up a room.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours in your bunny piece, not far from finished. Good work on the craft room, looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with it !!!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be so nice having a more functional craft room. And you are right the egg and the bunnies tail barely show up in the photos, very cute stitching though.
ReplyDeleteThe bunny stitching is adorable!
