Hummingbirds and Cross Stitch

Thanks so much for all the nice things you said about my Seattle photos.  Sometimes I think we all need to look at our home area like a tourist.  I know, I even appreciated it more. I'm not sure that is possible, I absolutely love the Pacific NW. We have had great luck this year with our hummingbird feeder.  That plus an almost finished J.M. Gardner are my pictures for today.  By the way, our summer has returned!  We have had beautiful days with temps in the 70's(my idea of perfect) and sunsets well after 9 pm.




 See the iridescent green? They are so pretty.  This is an Anna's Hummingbird.

 J.M. Gardner almost done.  The colors are very washed out in the photos.  In reality, the colors are very bright and beautiful.  I think they make this sampler!

 I love the arbor.


I started this yesterday.  Little Hannah is due to come into the world tomorrow. Mom is getting a c-section. We are so very excited.   We hope to meet her in July so I need to get going on her sampler!!!!

    i like summer temps in the low 70's but we hardly ever see them! i love hummingbirds. i planted hummingbird vines all over the garden this summer but i won't see much from them until next year. i do have hummingbirds though.

    You are lucky to have the hummingbirds - I'm lucky to see one a summer in my garden. My mother, on the other hand, has them coming out of the woodwork - I love watching them. :) J.M. Gardner is a beauty and that's a pretty birth sampler too!

    Lovely photos of the hummers. I love your stitching. It's making me want to stitch a sampler ,and they are not really my thing ,lol .X

    I just told my husband yesterday that we need to get out all our other hummingbird feeders. We have just one out now and they are fighting over who is going to be king!
    Love that birth sampler and congratulations on the upcoming birth. Hoping everything goes smoothly.

    Such a beauty that hummingbird is, Barb! I really need to dig my feeder out of the attic and put it up outside our window soon...

    Your sampler is so pretty and I know you'll love stitching that new piece for little Hannah! Will be thinking of you and your family today on her birth day :)

    Oh--I so loving seeing hummingbirds. They bring back memories of sitting on my grandmother's screened-in porch in Virginia and watching the hummingbirds in the bushes.

    Your repro sampler is so pretty as is the birth sampler you will be making for Hannah. She'll be a Gemini just like me--June is a wonderful month to have a birthday. Hope we'll see lots of photos of Hannah once she make her appearance in the world.
