Cross Stitch and Dahlias

I hope all of you have had a great week-end!  It was  very nice here in the Pacific NW, highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's, my kind of weather.  I am happy to report that I have finished my August goals early! I have finished "A Wicked Plant"  and more importantly sweet Hannah's sampler based on Dawson's Sampler by Cherished Stitches. After the cross stitch, I have photos of our dahlias.  I think this must be a perfect place to grow them.  I have never had them as big and healthy, before moving here.  I hope you enjoy seeing them!

I have great trust in my followers but I am very careful about things that go out to the entire world on the web, so I have covered her last name and town.  I truly hope that none of you are offended by this. The colors in the sampler were chosen to look good in the nursery. I love the style of this sampler because she can grow with it.

Daddy and Hannah!

"A Wicked Plant" by Barbara Ana.  This was one fun stitch.  The letters were suppose to be black but I liked the sarsaparilla color.

I can't have a Halloween stitch without sharing one of my latest signs that summer is coming to an end-  lots of spiders in our yard!

I hope you enjoy the dahlias!!

Have a wonderful week!! thanks for joining me!

  16. Hi, Barb,
Hannah's birth sampler is lovely, and I think you are smart to cover up the other information. I stitched Evan a birth sampler when he was born 24 years ago, but back they there weren't as many beautiful designs.

The dahlias are lovely. Do you have to dig all these up for the winter? They are tubers or bulbs, aren't they?
