A Bit of Everything!

What is it with the weather??!! It was 93 in Seattle yesterday. We had only one other day over 90 this entire summer. I know some of you have had heat all summer but the problem up here is, NOTHING is air conditioned.  That includes restaurants and almost all homes.  In fact, I can't think of anyone who has an air conditioned home.  Oh well!  Fall will eventually get here.  I went plant shopping to get my favorite pansies plus I am busy with 3 cross stitch projects. Takes my feeble mind off the heat!

Sept. Word Play.  The linen is not pink, as shown in the picture.  I love my camera but sometimes it seems to have a mind of it's own.

I especially like the little school house.  This was definitely school oriented.  That is one reason I liked it.

 Progress on Caleb's Halloween stitch.

My favorite orange whiskers pansy! I love to use these in containers for fall.

I put them with these cool black ones. Tomorrow I hope to do lots of planting.
Thanks so very much for joining me today.

  10. I would gladly take some of your heat, Barb--today our high here in western PA is only going to be 62!! I have pretty much written off the summer of 2013...

Your Sept. Wordplay is so sweet--and perfect for you! I was just thinking last night I need to get back to stitching this series. And Caleb's skeletons are adorable dancing in their graveyard :)

Orange and black pansies! Wow--I've never seen either of those colors--how Halloweeny :)

  12. I love every element of the September Word Play! And I never thought I would say cute skeletons, but cute skeletons! :) Beautiful pansies! Funny, I never think to do any planting in the fall. Our weather has kind of been all over the place too. I would love to live in an area where air conditioning wasn't needed. I hate having to spend pretty much the whole summer in it.

  15. It has been terribly hot here too. I have been looking at the pansies in the garden centres but have felt too hot to do any planting. Perhaps this weekend....
