A Wintery Post!

I can't thank you all enough for the very nice things you said about my Thanksgiving decorating.  It must be those 30 years I spent in a classroom that has me decorating for holidays!!
Yesterday and last night we had a storm that brought snow to the mountains.  This morning dawned sunny with blue skies so we went out to take a few pictures of the Olympics with snow.  Then it was off to the grocery store.  I had my handy camera so I decided to give you a tour of winter brews!! I love the packaging!  I do enjoy a beer now and then but on my pre-diabetes diet, they are very rare.
I am starting the post with my current cross stitch project, a Christmas ornament for sweet little Hannah!

I have had this chart for a long time.  In fact, I can't remember where or when I bought it.  I do remember thinking the little elves would make cute ornaments.

Here is the start of Hannah's ornament.  It is the one with the doll.  I hope to do the head tonight.  Right now I call it  the headless elf!

I get this view going to the grocery store.  One of the countless things in my life that I am thankful for!

This would be a good time to stop if you are not interested in seeing the amazing beer containers!  Some of the scenes make me want to jump right into them.

Not sure I agree with this one!

Probably my favorite for color and design!

Thanks so much for joining me.  I hope you are all having an amazing week-end filled with beautiful things!

  3. I LOVE those beer cartons! I would buy them just to display the cartons. Your Autumn at Hawks Run has inspired me. I have had this piece kitted up since it first came out, but didn't like a few of the blocks. Your solution is perfect..........I have my pattern in the car and am going to buy a square piece of linen to stitch nine of the blocks on! Thanks so much for your inspiration....................and I love ALL your Thanksgiving stitching and decorating.

  15. This cute little elf will be wonderful for Hannah. A great idea. Cricket has a lot of lovely designs but I think I have never stitched one of them. I should go through the charts that are in my stash ...
You really live in a great region. I totally love the mountains and can't get enough looking at them when I'm somewhere with high mountains. I also live in a mountaineous region but our mountains are not naerly as high as what I see in your pictures.
Great beer packaging. I'll have to show this to my DH, lol.
