Beach Walk and Cross Stitch

I know that so much of our country is just freezing right now!  I have a very dear friend in Chicago who keeps me up to date.  Last year the same thing happened with the polar vortex.  While much of the country was freezing , we were mild.  In fact, the weather people are beginning to worry as our snow pack in the mountains(where we get much of our summer water) is only 52% of what it should be.  Well, yesterday was beautiful and we took a beach walk.  I hope you enjoy the pictures, we had a great walk.

 My progress on PS Weather.

View from the beach across Puget Sound.

Two of  my favorite things, mountains, and water.

 Guarding the beach!!

The sea-weed was especially colorful yesterday! Plus I love seeing all the beach textures.

Thanks for joining me and have a wonderful day!!

  4. I believe we Canadians are provy to the polar vortex too! This weather is just ridiculous. Yesterday our wind chill was -43 celcius. And it just doesn't let up. I love your stitching - its coming along so nicely. We just love that saying in our house - I get excited when I see a red sky in the morning. I always like a bit of dramatic weather! LOVE the beach photos. We will see the beach at the end of June or July. :(

  14. It must be so nice to get outside and take a walk at this time of year, Barb--thanks for the lovely photos! We were at 0° yesterday when I woke up and the high for the day was only 10! But, this winter has been so, so much easier than last with that long spell of frigid weather...

Your PS piece is looking great and I'm sure you're enjoying stitching this one.

Enjoy your week and send some of that warmer weather to us folks out east, Barb :)

Speaking of beautiful, your pics are breath taking...what a gorgeous area you live in. I have never been to the Pacific NW but I have a nephew who lives in Seattle and adores it! Isn't it so funny that down my way it's all desert close to the ocean...funny country we live in.
    Have a great weekend

  24. Aren't PS charts the best? Something about their simple graphic art. I repeat that saying every time I see a red sky.

  26. Love taking a walk with you Barb! I adore the mountains and sea too. Funny how I can see Mt. Baker from the top of our street on a clear day or when I travel over the Lion's gate bridge. Neat to see your view of it. Love the PS weather stitch!
