One evening we decided to go over to one of our favorite spots to enjoy the sunset. The pictures show an area about 30 minutes from our home. I'm also making great progress on "Bittersweet September" by BBD. I think I'll be finished after just a few more nights of stitching.
Sorry for the wrinkles. I never press until I am all finished. This was a fun house to stitch. I think because of the way the colors were broken up. I changed the color of the pot on the roof as it was too close in color to the shade of the roof. I have one more design to put in the pot and the border flowers to finish and then it will be done. I have an idea for finishing that I will share when I am finished,
Sunset at Seabeck!
These are the Olympic Mountains. During most winters they would have lots more snow at this time of year.
I love the way the evergreens look in front of the mountain.
Thanks so much for joining me today. We went for a nice walk so I will show the photos when I finish the project. Have a wonderful week!
What a beautiful stitching!! I love the house, looks great!! Fabulous pictures of the mountains and the sunset. We had a bit of rain today, not much but should be enough to start the gardens budding! Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I think you made a good decision changing the color of the pot. It still looks like part of the design, but not like part of the roof.

ReplyDeleteLovely scenery!
Your sampler is lovely. I agree about the brick work making it more interesting to stitch.
ReplyDeleteI did not know that Seattle is called the Emerald City, I hope that fact comes up in a general knowledge quiz now!
I always think of it as the home of Frasier Crane and Grunge. Two totally unconnected things!
I always love your pictures! stitching looks great!
ReplyDeleteI can see why Bittersweet called to you - very autumny / halloweenish colors. Barb - such pretty photos of the hills and mountains! You do live in a a beautiful part of the world.
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a lovely part of the U.S, Barb! You can truly get outside and enjoy the beautiful landscape for a good part of the year, unlike us poor people in the northeast! We did warm up to 80 yesterday, but that was a bit too hot for spring :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you're enjoying stitching that pretty piece and that is a great color change to the flower pot :)
