Finally Back!

Hi there cloud friends!  I can't believe how long it has been since I visited this blog.  I have no real excuse, no, I was not abducted by aliens!! I have noticed that some people go through times when they loose their mojo for stitching, I think I lost mine for blogging. I still enjoyed reading all of your blogs but it just seemed like to much work to do a post of my own. A few of you have been so kind as to email me to see if everything is all right.  Plus I do love this stitching community so I decided to get off my fanny and get busy.  It will take a few posts to catch up but I am motivated(I hope).  I have been busy stitching this winter,  so that is what I will share today.

This is from a small Prairie Schooler chart that I have.  I have no idea about the fabric that I used or even the floss.  I did this about a month ago.

This one is sitting on a dresser in the bedroom.  It is part of a Blackbird Design called "Breath of Spring."

Here's another Blackbird Design from the book "In Friendship's Way". I still need to finish this one.

Here's another little design from Prairie Schooler.  Those are old buttons that I found at a flee market several years ago.

The LHN Sampler Houses are finally finished.  I used the same idea that Vonna over at the blog, "Twisted Stitcher " talked about.  She suggested putting a border around the entire design not each house.  She said it seemed more like a community that way.  I agreed and used her idea. I also used red for two houses.
This was my only big change form the charts.

One day the sun was shining into my laundry room and it looked so pretty on this bowl of Easter eggs . I hope all of you have a very blessed Easter! I have every intention of getting back tomorrow with photos of my Spring/Easter decorations. Thanks so much for joining me today.

  1. Great to see you again on your blog. And good to know that you are OK and that you are not willing to leave your lovely blog alone, lol. Losing the stitching or blogging bug just happens from time to time ...

You were stitching a lot recently. Your little spring designs are so lovely and I can't even say which one I like best. I'm a fan of the Prairie Schooler and of Blackbird Designs.
Your LHN Sampler Houses look gorgeous. I had seen Vonna's version as well. These little houses look wonderful when stitched on one big piece of fabric.

  11. Happy Easter Barb... I know what you mean about blogging mojo...mine is a bit thin right now too... but I do continue to play with needle and thread and fabric and yarn. I love all the stitching you've done. The LHN sampler is beautiful. I have these charts and was going to do them individually but now I'm not so sure... they make a handsome piece all stitched together! Hope the weather is improving... I think we are all in the mood for some sunny skies and warm temps... take care...hugs!

  19. Lovely to see a post from you, you've been missed. I've just had a blogging break too, I just couldn't think of anything to say though I've been busy stitching.
You have been busy too, your ornaments look lovely but my favourite are the LHN houses stitched Vonna-style as one huge piece. They look fantastic!

  21. So good to see a new post from you, Barb--we've all missed you! I do understand about losing your mojo--I don't seem to have much lately, either. And have had little time for stitching. Hope I can force myself out of my slump like you did!

I so love the LHN piece and your addition of the red houses makes it even nicer! Great idea :) Love all of your spring and bunny finishes, too, especially Breath of Spring--what a sweet piece.

Hope your last week of April is relaxing, Barb! Hard to believe May is just around the corner :)
