Just in time for the 4th of July, we received our frame from Valley House Primitives. I love the way they finish a frame. The SBA put "From Every Mountainside" in the frame. I think the colors go very well with the design. We have it hanging in the family room.
I hope all of you are having a great week! Tomorrow, it's shopping in the city. I'll try to get some good pics of Seattle!
I have showed pictures of the vine over the garage before. It's filling in so pretty this year.
My garden is beginning to show nice color. The mock orange is in full bloom so I sat out there and read the other day. The smell was just wonderful!!
Here's the top of "From Every Mountainside. I put in 1776 instead of 2012. I wanted this piece to honor the revolution.
This shows the frame pretty well.
Thanks again for taking a look!!
your garden is wonderful!!! my mock oranges are spreading and taking over my gardens. the pruning shears are coming out in the fall for sure!
ReplyDeleteMore super snaps of your garden - thanks!! I love the frame on FEM!!
ReplyDeleteBarb - Such a pretty garden - nice that you took the time to be outside and enjoy it too. Isn't scent a wonderful (and often overlooked) thing? The FEM finish is fab! Enjoy Seattle!
ReplyDeleteI liked the idea for changing of the date. That made "From Every Mountainside" more meaningful indeed!
ReplyDeleteIt is really gorgeous work and frame suits perfectly!
No doubt, your garden is a small heaven!
And;
Look forward to seeing Seattle pictures :)
I love the garden! My gosh it's pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove the frame too.
What a beautiful garden!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your framed XS too.
Your garden is so, so pretty, Barb! I always heard gardens in the northwest are the best in the country! And I love the glimpse of the weathervane--is that a whale? My parents had a horse weathervane on their barn and were offered $1000 for it at the estate sale! No, we didn't sell it--it belonged with the barn...
ReplyDeleteThat is one gorgeous frame--really beautifully finished and the colors are perfect for your piece.
Enjoy your shopping trip :)
Hi Barb!
ReplyDeleteIt's Janet from Valley House! I love your finished piece.
Your blog is such a pleasure to read! ;)
Janet
Such a nice frame for this one Barb, it works perfectly and I like how you changed the date. Lovely pics of your garden. It is still so wet and dreary here with very little sun to encourage things to flower.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful finish. The frame looks perfect for it.
Lovely photos, Barb. Your garden is so lovely. I'd love to sit on that bench and stitch. Beautiful framing too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Veronica.
