Thoughts on July 4th

I have always been very interested in the Revolutionary War. Two of my  favorite characters of that time are John and Abigail Adams.  When I saw that the Ladies Prim Society had for their summer project a chart by BBD called "A Salute to Abigail", I immediately joined. On the chart was printed a portion of a letter from John to Abigail.  I think that it is almost poetic.  I hope you enjoy reading it.

I wish you all a very Happy July 4th and to my friends who do not live in this country, have a great week-end!

  3. Oh, oh, oh - I love it Barb! Love the chart and have always admired John and Abigail. I'm old enough to have watched as a teenager the Adams Chronicles on PBS back in 1976. A wonderful series.

  4. I'm back! Just had to share. We're watching A Capitol Fourth on PBS and that very letter was quoted. Unfortunately it was interrupted by Miss Piggy, but I was intrigued by the timing.

  8. What a special piece!
I am still toiling through the first of two needlepoint Christmas stockings for the twin - and longing to be starting a new cross stitch project. I won't let that happen, though, until the stockings are done.
