It's Hot In Seattle

I thought you might like to see what people do in normally cool, beautiful Seattle, when the weather turns HOT! They head to the water.  We did too!

Mt. Baker, one of our volcanoes! About 50 miles away.

 The beautiful Cascades

We will be back to our volunteer jobs at the lighthouse in Aug.  The nasty old knee is getting better.

I love this picture of Seattle in the shadow of Mt. Rainier.  I think it should have a title, " Don't sweat the small stuff and most things are small!!"

The kids know how to cool off!

And so do the dogs!

I have a really  hard time picking my own flowers so when I saw the sign, "U -Pick dahlias"  I was hooked.  My DH navigated some back roads to find the little farm. 12 flowers for $4 what a deal!!!!!

Thanks so much for joining me today.  Remember, I am trying very hard to send Summer to those of you who are missing it! Have a great week!

  12. Oh Barb, such beautiful pictures of the mountains in your region. Great scenery.
I think I would also be a bit hesitating to cut the flowers from my garden. But around here there are also lots of flower farms where you can cut the flowers yourself. And it's not so hard because there are fields full of flowers.
