It has been a busy week still working on my step-mom's situation. Things are still coming up that need our attention. I will be very glad when we get things into more of a routine. We have totally taken over any business that she has. She is not even able to write her own checks any more. It complicates things as we are so far away.
Anyway, I am still busy with Mary and I still don't love her. We will just have to see.
Isn't it hard to believe that Memorial Day will be in just about a week??!! I'm getting the itch to start a patriotic design. That will be a good topic for my next post.
This is so much brighter than it shows. Last night while watching, "Outlander" I got most of the left side finished.
I think this turned out just right for the oval antique frame. This year, I hope to do my patriotic decorating so it will be up from Memorial Day through the 4th of July. Then I can do the summer decorating. All that decorating keeps me out of trouble!
Just a few of the pretties from the garden this time of year. I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for joining me!
I stitched a very small patriotic piece this weekend - very small. :) I was already thinking about the 4th too! And I'm jealous you're getting to watch The Outlander. I always watch it with my neighbor and since I'm not at home right now I'm missing it. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I just started watching "Outlander". I read the first several books years and years ago when they were first published and I do not remember all that much, so it is fun to watch. Lots of pretty blooms. I hope your stitching 'grows' on you!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pity that you don't love Mary very much. Yet, lol. Maybe she will grow on you, and if not, just stitch some nice little smalls in between.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your patriotic decoration.
... and I always love to see your flowers from your garden. Such wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching and flowers. I got the Outlander series on DVD for Mothers Day. It only had 8 episodes, so I've been watching the rest online. I am hooked!
ReplyDeleteMary is pretty though.
ReplyDeleteThe BB design looks great in the oval frame.
As always, your flowers are so pretty.
Love the Calla Lily.

You may not be enjoying Mary,Barb but I love your updates.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flower photos:-)
I know what you mean about getting the patriotic stitching itch, Barb; in fact, just last night I was sorting through my red/white&blue designs looking for one that caught my eye. Actually, they all caught my eye--that is the problem--not enough time :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your stitching is offering some solace in between all the sorting out of your stepmother's affairs. That must be so difficult to deal with long-distance...
Lovely flowers!!
Wonderful blooms! Mary is looking good. Having to deal with someone's affairs from a distance is difficult; sending good thoughts your way on that.

Hope everything gets straightened out with your step mother soon Barb ! Beautiful flowers! Love the oval frame patriotic finish ! I have 3 red, white and blue charts I want to start !
ReplyDeleteI love that sampler you are stitching, very pretty! That patriotic finish you framed is really pretty too!
ReplyDeleteIsn't the garden just grand at this time of year?
You made a good progress on your sampler!! The oval framed piece looks lovely. Beautiful flowers:)
ReplyDeleteThe sampler you're working on simply look so pretty, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI keep my Patriotic stuff up all summer :) Easier on my back! But I'd love to have more! I adore that little BBD one! And your sampler is looking so very good!
ReplyDeleteLove your apple tree stitching -cute! Your flower picshop are lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove your apple tree addition to the sampler.
ReplyDeleteYour header picture is great too. I have stitched 1.5 of the Wordplay series so far! I won't buy another until I have finished the second one. One day I may even stitch all 12!
Your oval frame is just perfect for your little patriotic piece.
ReplyDeleteI do see progress on your bigger sampler.
