Happy Memorial Day

Hi all you cloud friends!  Here in the US we are celebrating Memorial Day.  First, I think we need to remember all the brave men and women who have lost their lives in service to our country. A wonderful way to remember is to watch the Memorial Day program from the Capital.  We watch it every year.  It was on our local public tv station last night. I have been told that Veteran's Day is the day to celebrate those who are living vets or in the service at this time.  However, I can not help but say a prayer of thankfulness that our son made it home after two tours in Iraq.  So Happy Memorial Day to Jeff and his lovely wife Kacey and their wonderful children, Ian, Caleb, and Hannah.

  3. Helped out with a local Memorial Day parade...it was fun but the weather was waaay too hot...almost 90 by noon. I am so grateful for the sacrifices our military personnel and their families make to keep us safe. Land of the free because of the brave!

  8. I felt like there were more young people at the cemeteries this year than past years - a good thing in my book.
