Lots of Stuf!

This blog covers a few topics! First, I'll show the treasures we bought at the antique show we attended on Sat. Then a cross stitch update, and finally a great woodpecker shot from our deck.

I have a few chocolate molds. I wouldn't say I collect them , but when I see one that fits a season I like to decorate for, I am tempted to buy it. I do love to do some patriotic decorating so I couldn't pass up this liberty bell mold. It commemorates the nations susqua-centennial in 1926. This was my purchase.

The SBA couldn't pass up this super mug to add to his collection. He has both lidded and not lidded. He is trying to concentrate his collection on mugs with lids. He is especially happy if the mugs are marked by the maker. This mug did have a mark. I decided to show a few photos of his collection.

The 6th one over was an advertising mug for a brewery here in Seattle at the turn of the century. Funny thing is, we found it at a show in Tennessee.

These are all made in Germany.

Here's the progress on Rebecca Robinson. Well, I couldn't wait, I knew I would never like those pink designs on the vase, so I frogged them out!! I like the vase much better. I jut might not stitch those areas-not sure yet.

The border on one side is finished -9 finished 29 to go! Sorry for the wrinkles!

Look what was on our bird feeder yesterday afternoon!! A pileated woodpecker. These guys are 16 inches long!
F.Y.I. over at 1-2-3 Stitch web site they are having a sale on Quaker themed charts. I think I'll have to spend a bit over there!
Thanks for joining me and have a wonderful week!!!

  1. Wow, fantastic post. I love the chocolate mold. The mug collection is awesome. Your stitching is so beautiful, it makes me want to learn. Also, I love the woodpecker. We used to have a lot of them in Missouri, I'd hear them all day. Love his little red head.

  2. Wow - what a wonderful shot of the woodpecker. I have them in the forest,at a distance, but theyve never come to my birdfeeders. Envious!

  5. Hi Barb -

Thanks so much for sharing all of your photos. They are a joy. I was wondering if you could tell me the name/designer of the Halloween quaker design you're stitching - it looks just wonderful. Thanks very much - Kate (kcarr@schwabe.com)
