First, I must say to all my Green Bay fans, you were awesome. In fact, you probably deserved to win that game. A part of my heart(not the biggest part) felt bad for the Packers. When I read today's paper and read about Aaron Rodgers, I did feel sad. I do pride myself on being honest so I am thrilled to be going back to the Super Bowl. We had two very lucky breaks, one, the getting the ball after the onside kick and the other was winning the overtime toss. No one is mentioning that luck was part of that win, but it was! Here is the front page of our paper.
It was generally a very hard day. We were awakened at 1:45 am on Sunday morning to a loss of power (our security system warns us with sharp beeps). It is 10 am Mon. and still no power. Thank goodness for our old second hand generator!! The game made me so nervous this is what I did:
What does a girl do when she is a nervous wreck??? She polishes brass!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for putting up with my football obsession. For a least awhile, I'll be back to cross stitch. I can't promise what I might be up to the week before the Super Bowl!!!!
Congratulations to the Seahawks, Barb! My youngest son has always been a Seahawks fan (for some reason--could be their colors!) ever since he was in high school... So, I'm happy they won, too. Will be pulling for them in the Super Bowl :)
ReplyDeleteI was glad the Seahawks won!!!! When I was out there for Thanksgiving I watched a game with my Dad and it was so exciting. The Chicago Bears were terrible this year. I love all the 12th man enthusiasm in the Seattle area too!!!
ReplyDeleteWell I was rooting for the Packers (cause the Bengals stink-LOL) but I congratulate the Seahawks for a great win. Hope they win the SuperBowl. And your brass looks great... what's on the agenda to clean for the big game?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the Seahawk fans! And yes, what will you be polishing during the Super Bowl?
ReplyDeleteRobin in Virginia
Congratulations on all the Seahawks fans..
ReplyDeleteI love you polishing stuff..
Big hugs x
I like both teams, but decided to root for the Seahawks. What a finish!!! Once they finally got their momentum going, they couldn't be stopped.
ReplyDeleteYAY Seahawks!! Your brass looks great!! I will root for your team this time. I didn't see the game but I hear it was a good one!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a turn around game! My husband was in turmoil... The brass looks good! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the Seahawks won. Since I am a Bears fan.. I can't ever root for the Packers... Your brass looks good. It was an exciting game for sure.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the Seahawks!!!
ReplyDeleteI do think the Packers became over-confident with early score.
Both teams have great quarterbacks.
You know I will be rooting for the Seahawks at SuperBowl time!!
Marilyn
What a game! Even if I didn't like the outcome. Love your perspective on luck! Now, do I root for the team that beat my Packers or the team I can not stand? Perhaps I will sit quietly stitching in a corner on Super Bowl Sunday! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Marilyn. Packers did get lazy. That'll teach them! Funny how you polish when you get nervous over a game; I get headaches and call for the channel to be changed now! Enjoy the Superbowl!
ReplyDeleteWe watched that game and couldn't believe the comeback. What a game!
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot of yelling here during those last few minutes of the game! You're right, there was quite a bit of luck involved. During the game, I fold laundry or iron. Gotta do something with that nervous energy, lol!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the team!! I got to know from my husband today about how the game turned in the last and they won.
ReplyDeleteYou have put your nervousness to a good use. I usually end up disturbing everybody at home when I am nervous.
Hope you now have your power back on. I guess one should be thankful that you didn't lose it until after the game...don't know if that helps you or not.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your team won, love the brass polishing - do you want to just pop over to Oz and do some for me, please?
ReplyDeleteP.S. I hope that your power is back on now.
ReplyDeletePhew!! Just watched the play off high lights they are on at 1.55am here so we taped the programme, had to wait until today to see both games. What a fantastic game between The Packers and Seahawks!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you lost power, I hope it is back on now.
ReplyDeleteLove the copperware.
I am a Packer Backer they are a real team, worth watching even if they lose.
Catherine
Good thing you have a generator! I stitch when I'm nervous, but maybe I'd polish brass if I had some, lol. I started out watching the football game, but had to turn the channel because I was sure GB would win the game. I turned it back on just in time to see the tie and OT.
