The Day After

First, I must say to all my Green Bay fans, you were awesome.  In fact, you probably deserved to win that game.  A part of my heart(not the biggest part) felt bad for the Packers.  When I read today's paper and read about Aaron Rodgers, I did feel sad.  I do pride myself on being honest so I am thrilled to be going back to the Super Bowl.  We had two very lucky breaks, one, the getting the ball after the onside kick and the other was winning the overtime toss.  No one is mentioning that luck was part of that win, but it was! Here is the front page of our paper.
It was generally a very hard day.  We were awakened at 1:45 am on Sunday morning to a loss of power (our security system warns us with sharp beeps).  It is 10 am Mon. and still no power.  Thank goodness for our old second hand generator!! The game made me so nervous this is what I did:

What does a girl do when she is a nervous wreck??? She polishes brass!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for putting up with my football obsession.  For a least awhile, I'll be back to cross stitch. I can't promise what I might be up to  the week before the Super Bowl!!!!

  1. Congratulations to the Seahawks, Barb! My youngest son has always been a Seahawks fan (for some reason--could be their colors!) ever since he was in high school... So, I'm happy they won, too. Will be pulling for them in the Super Bowl :)

  2. I was glad the Seahawks won!!!! When I was out there for Thanksgiving I watched a game with my Dad and it was so exciting. The Chicago Bears were terrible this year. I love all the 12th man enthusiasm in the Seattle area too!!!

  3. Well I was rooting for the Packers (cause the Bengals stink-LOL) but I congratulate the Seahawks for a great win. Hope they win the SuperBowl. And your brass looks great... what's on the agenda to clean for the big game?

  10. Congrats to the Seahawks!!!
I do think the Packers became over-confident with early score.
    Both teams have great quarterbacks.
You know I will be rooting for the Seahawks at SuperBowl time!!

  11. What a game! Even if I didn't like the outcome. Love your perspective on luck! Now, do I root for the team that beat my Packers or the team I can not stand? Perhaps I will sit quietly stitching in a corner on Super Bowl Sunday! Lol!

  12. I'm with Marilyn. Packers did get lazy. That'll teach them! Funny how you polish when you get nervous over a game; I get headaches and call for the channel to be changed now! Enjoy the Superbowl!

  14. There was a lot of yelling here during those last few minutes of the game! You're right, there was quite a bit of luck involved. During the game, I fold laundry or iron. Gotta do something with that nervous energy, lol!

  15. Congrats to the team!! I got to know from my husband today about how the game turned in the last and they won.
You have put your nervousness to a good use. I usually end up disturbing everybody at home when I am nervous.

  16. Hope you now have your power back on. I guess one should be thankful that you didn't lose it until after the game...don't know if that helps you or not.

  21. Good thing you have a generator! I stitch when I'm nervous, but maybe I'd polish brass if I had some, lol. I started out watching the football game, but had to turn the channel because I was sure GB would win the game. I turned it back on just in time to see the tie and OT.
